Zusammenfassung:	The extent of gas separation achievable in a permeator module can be substantially increased by (a) recycling a fraction of the permeated stream, and (b) using more than one type of membrane for a given separation process. The present paper discusses the development and operation of recycle and multimembrane permeator systems and summarizes the results of parametric calculations.
