Zusammenfassung:A two-step procedure is reported that ed that combines silica gel chromatography and Sephadex LH-20 chromatography, to isolate polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) from extracts of marine sediments and tissues of marine organisms. The separated PAH were determined quantitatively by gas chromatography with either a flame-ionization detector or mass spectrometry.
