Zusammenfassung: | Tabulated and graphical results are given of studies on the effects of heated discharges from Pembroke power station on the temperature of the water in Milford Haven. The results showed that, during most of the tidal cycle, strong mid-channel currents tended to confine the effluent plume to the southern part of the estuary, with plume impingement effects observed only at the two southern sites nearest to the outfall. At other sites, the warming was slight, and similar to that caused by local climatic conditions. |
