Zusammenfassung:The inhibitory action of substance P (SP) and of partial sequences of this compound on the activity of angiotensin I-converting emzyme (ACE) from human serum is described. The Lys-Pro with an I sub(50)-value of 20 mu mol/l has the most potent inhibitory activitty on the ACE. The opinion is expressed that the action of SP on the ACE might be explained only by a primary enzymatic cleavage of the SP.
