Zusammenfassung: | Results are presented and discussed from studies on the feasibility of improving the performance of fixed film reactors, such as rotating biological contactor systems and submerged fixed bed reactors, by adding hydrogen peroxide to increase the concentration of dissolved oxygen available to the biofilm. The use of hydrogen peroxide caused a marked increase in substrate removal efficiency. Operating conditions to achieve optimal results are indicated. However, the cost of this process would limit its general applicability. (Full translation 24 pounds sterling). |
