Zusammenfassung: | Recently developed correlations for predicting the behaviour of buoyant surface jets are used to analyse data taken from the literature. Comparison of data at varying Reynolds number with fixed velocity ratio and internal Froude numbers, showed a dependence on the trajectory of attached buoyant jets in crossflow, for Reynolds numbers between 2500 and 22,700. Previously, model studies indicated that mean jet development would be independent of Reynolds number at values larger than 2000. The trend of larger jet penetration as buoyancy increases was confirmed. |
