Zusammenfassung: | The U.S. EP Agency Federal Underground Injection Control progam (UIC) programme was based on an aquifer classification system, and is illustrated using three case studies from New Mexico. The production of hydrogeological maps or cross- sections giving information on permeability of rock units and dissolved solids content of formation fluids was the principal technique involved. However, due to the absence of deep water wells in most areas, data from mineral companies' geological and geophysical logs wereealso usually analysed. |
