Zusammenfassung: | From 1978 to 1981, the author spent about 45 weeks on Great Saltee between early May and the beginning of August. The status of the resident landbirds was assessed by daily observation and estimates were made of the size of the breeding populations. Twenty-five species were recorded breeding during these years, another seven species were known to have done so occasionally within the last ten years, and ten more are now considered extinct as breeding species on Great Saltee. |
