Zusammenfassung: | Dissolved free amino acid (DFAA) levels and composition were measured over a 12-month period in the waters of the estuary of the River Tamar in southwest England. Both the levels and composition were similar for most of the year to those reported for the western English Channel, despite the considerable differences in chemical, physical and biological properties of the two water bodies. The levels appear to be controlled by the biota. |
