Zusammenfassung: | Tabulated and graphical data are presented on the concentrations of dissolved and undissolved aluminium, organic carbon and fluoride in acidified bog waters in Belgium. These bogs were small, shallow, natural water bodies existing usually as isolated basins with input only from rainfall and run-off. Although the concentrations of dissolved aluminium in several bogs were high, the concentrations of the more toxic aluminium species were reduced by complexation with fluoride and humic acid, and relatively high concentrations of these species occurred only in the range pH 4-6. |
