Zusammenfassung:Physical interactions between Vibrio cholerae serogroup 01 and plankton populations from surface waters in a region of Bangladesh where cholera was endemic were studied. Four out of 5 clinical V. cholerae 01 strains were attached preferentially to moulted zooplankton exoskeletons, and the other equally to these and whole specimens. V. cholerae 01 were also attached to several phytoplankton species.
