Zusammenfassung: | Quantitative analysis of trace organics in aqueous samples (up to 100 ml) was carried out by a novel technique. Organics were concentrated by passage of the aqueous sample through an uncoated hydrophobic trapping capillary. Trapped organics were desorbed thermally from the capillary and collected in a cold trap for subsequent gas chromatographic analysis. Co-eluted water vapour was selectively removed using a membrane dryer. A flame ionization detector (FID) was used for ppt level analysis. |
