Zusammenfassung: | A new production technology for vacuum-treated rail steel has been developed, with reduced carbon content (0.10%) at discharge from the furnace and the addition of carbon-bearing materials on ladle intake. This technology reduces the total oxygen content of the steel and the content of brittle-fracturing oxide inclusions in the rail, without impairing the physicomechanical properties. |
