Zusammenfassung: | They're lighting up the New Orleans Superdome, helping you sleep better, dressing you fashionably, delighting your taste buds, giving you a better way to work, and scoring you tickets for opening day. These young entrepreneurs join the likes of Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Mint.com's Aaron Patzer, and LearnVest's Alexa von Tobel as members of the annual 30 Under 30. A few years after graduating from New York University with a concentration in theater production, Gary Solomon Jr. began working behind the scenes at one of the country's largest venues: the Superdome. His New Orleans-based production company, Solomon Group, designed and installed the stadium's external lighting system, composed of 288 colorful LED spotlights. In 2006, Sophia Amoruso started selling vintage clothes on eBay. Today, her online clothing store, Nasty Gal, has became a popular destination for hip teens and twentysomethings. Sales skyrocketed from $223,000 in 2008 to almost $23 million in 2011, earning Nasty Gal the No. 11 spot on the 2012 Inc. 500. |
