Zusammenfassung:To our knowledge this is the fist report of a child with hereditary multiple exostoses developing bilateral pneumothoraces secondary to lung trauma from multiple rib exostoses. 1 Although rare, this diagnosis is important to recognise in patients presenting with spontaneous pneumothorax, as surgical options may prevent further thoracic complications. 2 The decision to intervene surgically in a paediatric patient however, requires careful consideration.
