Contribution on the carabid fauna of areas used for agriculture.

From July to October 1980, and from April to June 1981 farmland near Krefeld (Rhineland) with various crops, and a deciduous forest was investigated with regard to carabid beetles. Diversity of species and ecotypes was calculated. Potentialities of carabids in biological pest control are discussed.
