Zusammenfassung:This study is a reception analysis of the movie War Photographer. The themes of the photo series taken in Kosova War, Ruanda, Indonesia, Paletsine by photographer called James Nachtwey are war and poverty. The reception analysis of the film was made with ten amateur photographers through deep interwieving. After watching the movie, questions about the movie were asked to partipicants and the answers of the partipicants processed in the decoding position. Results of the study showed that participators are active to the codes embeded in the movie, and they can deal with the massages easily and clearly. Another result of the study showed that: the samples of the studie's dominant codes are easily decoded, negotiational and oppositional reading ratios were low, and demographic variables effect the decoding process very little.
