Zusammenfassung: | Surface water flowing from beneath 2 mining waste dumps near Sobov during July 1996 after a period of heavy rain, was analysed for zinc, copper, iron, cadmium, lead and manganese using radionuclide X-ray fluorescence analysis. High concentrations of iron, manganese, zinc and copper exceed the maximal permissible concentrations for surface waters. The use of a grass cover to prevent access of oxygen and atmospheric moisture to the waste dumps is suggested. |
