Zusammenfassung: | The main objective of the limnological research of the Vicente Guerrero Dam, is hydrological dynamics. Morphometricly, the impoundment has a mean are of 1066.5 hectareas and a mean volume of 196.9 million cubics meters; the shore development was > 3.8; the mean volume development was 1.08. The volume, area and depth variations were 52.3, 34.8 and 23.4 percent respectively. In relation to water temperature a period of stagnation was determined with a thermocline during August, September and October of 1976 and a winter overturn that began in November and culminated in January of 1977 with a total mix. It was conclued that it is a tropical lake, monomictic and holomictic. The mean surface temperature was 28.9 degree C and the mean deep temperature was 24 degree C. The dissolved oxygen concentrations confirmed the stagnation and circulation periods mentioned above; the month with greater total oxygenation was January of 1977. The mean depth of the well oxigenated layer (with more than 1.0 ppm) was 11 meters. This represents 47 per cent of the volume of the impoundment. |
