Zusammenfassung:To determine the role of sugars in decreasing the production of the enzyme, L-asparaginase II activity has been determined in the presence and absence of catabolite-activating protein (CAP), the mediator of catabolite repression in E. coli , to determine whether CAP is required for synthesis. The results indicated that L-asparaginase II production is dependent on CAP.
