In reviewing the genera of Chironomidae of the world, Dr. Patrick Ashe, University College, Dublin, Encountered a senior homonym for a genus name published by Sublette (1964). The following new name is proposed as a replacement for the junior homonym. Asheum New name Sublette & Sublette.
