Zusammenfassung: | The growing importance of land-use planning affects foresters and forestry. Foresters are particularly well trained to participate in many phases of such activity, but have seldom been involved with local comprehensive plans. Expansion of state efforts, however, has touched the interests of many foresters, both as planners and as affected parties. The forestry profession can contribute to the processes and opportunities in various multi-property planning programs. A variety of alternative strategies that are now being used affect forestland use and management. |
