Zusammenfassung:The power loss of the multiwave Cherenkov generator is estimated for the output unit when gigawatt pulses are emitted to atmosphere. A simplified model of the output unit that represents a series of multimode circular waveguides, couplers, and a horn with a relatively large opening angle and a thick dielectric window is used in the analysis. The transforming properties of couplers and the passage of radiation through the window are studied. The results of numerical calculations are presented for the output unit that was used in experiments.
