Thermogravimetric and mass spectrometric studies of the reduction of iron niobate by carbon

X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric, differential thermal, and mass spectrometric analyses are used to study the sequence of phase transformations that occur during the carbothermic reduction of iron niobate FeNb 2 O 6 in nonisothermic heating to 1500°C in a flowing argon atmosphere.
