Zusammenfassung:Sarcoidosis is a systemic disease that only exceptionally affects the gastrointestinal tract. We report the case of a man with systemic sarcoidosis who developed achalasia revealed by esophageal manometry, barium radiographs and echoendoscopy. No response was obtained with steroid therapy, and finally laparoscopic cardiomyotomy was performed with excellent results.
