Heat Loss from a Ventilated Clothed Body

The heat flux from the surface of a hot body in an air stream was measured with a simple apparatus that obviates the need for a wind tunnel. Measurements were made with the body covered with a range of polyester nonwoven fabrics. The results were analyzed on the basis of Take-uchi's theory.
