Zusammenfassung: | The use of an optical fibre as a position-sensitive detector in the photothermal deflection technique for thermal characterisation of solids is demonstrated. To validate the sensitivity and accuracy of the set-up, the thermal diffusivity of an n-type indium phosphide wafer is measured and compared with the literature values. The results are very promising. |
