Zusammenfassung:	Highlights ▸ Umbilical cord matrix cells (UCMCs) are unique regarding their pluripotency. ▸ A rotenone model of Parkinson's disease (PD) was studied in this work. ▸ The efficacy of UCMCs injected intrathecally was evaluated in this work. ▸ The new route of administration revealed successful regeneration as demonstrated by immunohistochemistry. ▸ The morphological effects were in parallel to behavioral improvement.
