Zusammenfassung: | This paper studies a fault-tolerant vehicular WiMAX communication system consisting of seven BS's (base stations) in a honey-cell layout. More specifically, a recovery technique is developed to minimize packet loss when the center BS fails. When this degraded performance strategy is adopted, any two diagonally adjacent B S's increase their power to compensate for the failure of the center BS. A new metric ψ is introduced to prove that the proposed technique does indeed minimize performance degradation. This metric takes into account the moving speed of the MN (mobile nodes), data transmission rate as well as the criticality of the data dropped. |
