Zusammenfassung: | The United States, the EU countries, and the Russian Federation are currently paying attention to public and environmental risks associated with artificial nanoparticles. Hazardous impact levels of some nanoobjects on humans and hydrobionts have been recorded. At the same time, practically no reliable information about the behavior of nanoobjects in natural conditions is available. The necessity to account for nanoscale limnological elements when monitoring the environment is shown by the example of Lake Ladoga’s water, suspended matter, and bottom sediments. |
