In vitro antibiotic susceptibility testing of 41 isolates of the mycoplasma pathogen has shown that at least 10 antimicrobials were still effective against CBPP (Ayling and others 2005) and, despite their widespread use in Africa, antimicrobial resistance was not yet evident.
