Zusammenfassung:In the title compound, [Mn(C(8)H(5)N(2)O(2))(2)(C(2)H(5)OH)(2)], the Mn(II) atom is six-coordinated by two N and two O atoms from two 1H-benzimidazole-2-carboxyl-ate (L) ligands and by two O atoms from two ethanol mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The mean planes of the two L ligands are inclined to each other at 7.6 (1)°. In the crystal, N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into layers parallel to the ab plane.
