Zusammenfassung:Rolled sheet steels when submitted in high temperatures are susceptive to failures, or low performance during its use in field, however, for overcoming this problem, the current study evaluates the grain growth caused by excessive temperatures, which is responsible mainly for reducing mechanical properties in steels. Throughout mechanical tests and metallography, this study shows technological opportunities for applying specification of sheet steels, since the usage of a regular sheet steels would not have an adequate performance and some failure could occur due to excessive material grain size growth. Finally, the study suggests a technologic option for using titanium alloyed steels.
