Zusammenfassung:Submarine surface sediments were collected in the central part of the Japan Sea, the Yamato Bank, and the southwestern parts of the sea, off Wakasa Bay and off Kurobe River, central Japan from the 2nd to 8th of May 2005 during the R.V. Tansei-maru cruise KT05-9. This article describes the preliminary results of on-board observation of the sediment samples.
