Zusammenfassung: | A comparison of the previous descriptions of Brunella and Calamoecia shows the genera to have been separated by three divergent characters. An examination of the type material of Calamoecia proved the original description erroneous, and the differences non existent. Calamoecia has precedence. Similarly since topotypes of the species B. steeli are identical with C. lucasi, B. steeli must be a synonym of C. lucasi. A revised description of the genus Calamoecia and the species C. lucasi is given, with figures. |
