Introduction: Towards an Integrated Understanding of the Cuban Revolution

Kumaraswami brings together a multi-disciplinary range of contributions to the topic of culture, politics and identity in revolutionary Cuba, underpinned by three organising principles: (i) to offer new perspectives on the complex and changing landscape over 50 years; (ii) to reassess in close detail the first 30 years of revolutionary change; (iii) and to understand and reassess Cuba in the context of wider geopolitical, ideological and cultural regional contexts.
