Zusammenfassung:Nonspecific complaints include nausea, anorexia, intermittent mild abdominal pain or cramping, loose stools, pruritus ani, and less frequently central nervous system (neurocysticercosis) complaints of irritability, vertigo, hyperexcitability, or lethargy may be present.4 Typically, the younger the child, the more severe the symptoms. Neurosurgical intervention is warranted when intraventricular cysts, hydrocephalus, cisternal cysts, or large parenchymal cysts are present. Because the complications from ruptured appendicitis in a pregnant female is devastating to the mother and child, our patient's clinical examination necessitated appendectomy.
