Neurosurgical intervention is warranted when intraventricular cysts, hydrocephalus, cisternal cysts, or large parenchymal cysts are present. Because the complications from ruptured appendicitis in a pregnant female is devastating to the mother and child, our patient's clinical examination necessitated appendectomy.
