Zusammenfassung: | Although no later 17c edition of 'The Rape of Lucrece' has been reported, there is strong evidence to support the conjecture that such an edition may have existed. The evidence occurs in catalogues of books printed for and sold by Peter Parker, and laid into copies of other books which he published between 1671 and 1676. The most logical explanation is that Parker published an edition of Shakespeare's poem which may one day come to light. (Quotes from original text) |
