AN ATTRIBUTION FOR THE AGE OF DULLNESS (1757)
The satire The age of dullness, which appeared in 1757, was attributed to 'a natural son of the late Mr Pope', but both palaeographic evidence and internal allusion prove the manuscript to be the work of William Popple II, 1701-64.
