The concept of ‘nation’ in Swiss constitutional thought

Distinguishes two periods during which Swiss public discourse had to clarify what constituted Switzerland's national entity, sometimes resulting in an exhortation of national consciousness; remains an open question if and how Switzerland can again cope with such problems today, in context of European unification.
