A Harpsichord from Sorrento

The acquisition and origins of an antique harpsichord, known as the Gritti Palace harpsichord, are discussed. Assuming its ascription to D. Matteo Castelleti is authentic, the Gritti Palace harpsichord sheds light on an Italian region near Naples otherwise obscure in keyboard history.
