Zusammenfassung:On 14 to 16 December 2004, a conference on slavery and transculturation was held at the University of Cologne organised by Michael Zeuske and Rebecca Scott. Numerous scholars working in the international field of Atlantic and especially Caribbean slavery and post-emancipation participated in the conference. The programme of what is now the sixth conference organised by Zeuske and Scott shows clearly that international academic cooperation has grown tremendously over the years.
