Zusammenfassung:	Outpatient cardiac MRI ( figure 2 ) confirmed mild left ventricular systolic impairment with an apical infarct and appearances of organised laminar thrombus. The images highlight that while coronary dissection can be clearly demonstrated by coronary angiography, the aetiology is not necessarily certain and may require further evaluation in the stable patient with a non-invasive imaging modality.
