Zusammenfassung: | Wise talks about professional issues. Professionals from every discipline view their issues as most compelling and complex. Nurses are no different. People see so many things that could be improved about education, practice, research, and the profession. People seem to be well-vested in the process of evidence-based practice. As a result, people are making great strides about what people do for patients and less-than-stellar progress with themselves. Creating the science around professional issues and then mastering the art of resolving the issues is the next big calling. Many new graduates are eager to "fix" the profession and probably will not accept statements such as "that's the way it's always been" as the rationale for lack of change. |
