Zusammenfassung: | Aplasia cutis congenita is failure of development of all layers of the skin. This condition most commonly affects the scalp and is typically an isolated finding. In rare instances, it can affect other anatomic sites and may be associated with syndromes or other causes. We discuss an infant born with extensive aplasia cutis congenita of the trunk related to twin fetal demise (fetus papyraceous). Conservative management with moist dressings led to satisfactory healing. |
