War Crimes Prosecutions in Australia and Other Common Law Countries: Some Observations

The experience of Australia, the UK and Canada reveal something of a story of how common law countries have responded to the presence of war criminals in their jurisdiction. While there is little doubt that these countries all desire the prosecution of war criminals as a matter of policy, their differing practical responses and levels of commitment reveal how complex are the array of issues are.
