Zusammenfassung: | It is proposed to assess the residual service life of the chemical technological equipment operating with detected cracklike defects from the viewpoint of the mechanics of fatigue fracture by taking into account the fact that the final fracture is preceded by the formation and subcritical development of fatigue cracks. The time of growth of a defect from the detected size to the maximum permissible size is determined from the kinetic diagrams of fracture plotted according to the results of testing of the specimens made of the same material. The computed time of growth of defects to the critical sizes under the operating loads is much larger than the designed operating time of the storage tanks of liquid ammonia. However, this procedure of numerical analysis of the service life does not take into account all factors that may increase the crack growth rate. We propose to perform the acoustic-emission monitoring of the development of detected defects. |
