Development of methods and means of coordinate measurements for linear and angular parameters of cutting instruments

A method is proposed for contact and contactless coordinate measurements of the geometrical parameters of cutting instruments. Practical applications of coordinate measuring instruments and systems for the inspection of cutting tools and the setup of tool units are discussed.
