EXISTENCE OF DICRITICAL DIVISORS

Abhyankar and Heinzer prove an existence theorem for dicritical divisors. They use the notation and terminology of [Ab5]. Especially Sections 1 and 5 of [Ab5], together with the preamble and Note (II**) of Section 4 of [Ab5], will be used mostly without explicit mention.
