Zusammenfassung:Combining long-term measurements and projections from a Regional Climate Model, the potential impact of climate change on surface temperature and residence times of lakes in the English Lake District was assessed (George et al., 2007b). (2007) investigated the effect of wind-induced internal waves on vertical distribution of zooplankton in Bautzen Reservoir (Germany) and concluded that classical limnological field sampling can lead to severely biased estimates of zooplankton abundance due to the interfering effects of hydrophysical processes like internal waves.
